Coaching
In a global economy where change is fast-paced and unpredictable, individuals need new skills and approaches to stay competitive. In other words, they must adopt an "entrepreneurial mindset." Traditional methods simply aren’t effective in today’s turbulent environment, and being able to self-reflect, pivot and push forward in entirely new directions is crucial to gaining a strategic advantage.
Our certified practitioner utilizes an empirically based, cutting-edge, online assessment tool based on extensive research into the traits, motivations and skills of entrepreneurs. The assessment helps individuals and teams identify and develop their unique strengths on 14 dimensions such as Idea Generation, Execution, Future Focus and Action Orientation to give them a competitive advantage.
Networking
Recover Appalachia maintains an extensive referral network of partners who provide mentorship, consulting, access to capital, and other vital services to underserved members of rural Appalachian communities. In addition to this professional network, we also maintain a roster of entrepreneurs in recovery who serve as guest speakers during workshops and training events. Whatever the need, there is someone to help.
Training
Our certified facilitator utilizes a dynamic curriculum that inspires and engages participants in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset as an essential life skill. The 8-week training draws upon fundamental concepts of entrepreneurial thought and process derived from real-world experience that is delivered through a hybrid model including both in-person sessions and online content.
Each lesson contains video case studies featuring a variety of real-world “unlikely” entrepreneurs who have overcome challenges by embracing the core concepts of an entrepreneurial mindset. The program also provides for experiential learning through the process of identifying problems, finding solutions, and making connections beyond the classroom.
